Dorri C. Scott, of High is a Money Smarts!Business Coach and Speaker who loves life and lives it fully! Engaging and inspired to live her life with purpose and a passion for excellence she is an Author (Wake Up Women, October 2008) and Guest Radio Host of Taylor Thomas of the syndicated radio show - The Steve Harvey Morning Show. Founder and President of High Heels and High Worth, with an advisory team of Financial Advisors, Brand Building Strategists, and Life Coaches; they advise, inspire, connect and help clients achieve extraordinary results to improve self and businesses.
Believing that, “It’s not how much money one makes but what one does with it," HHHW assists with helping clients to understand "their money story." Too, Dorri is a powerful and exciting Workshop leader and speaker frequently facilitating workshops for teens and life/goal planning for women who dare to be the best. Her "College Money Matters" and "SHE"workshops are popular, fun filled and held all over the United States.
Her foundation - The HHHW Foundation for Significance shares, teaches and purposes to assist women and families. Annually the Foundation hosts two events; a Lenten Prayer Brunch during the Easter season and an "Attitude of Gratitude," Luncheon in the month of November. Both events maximize the power of prayer and meditation asking each partcipant to take 15 minutes during the event to " Shhhh.. and Be Quiet." Collectively being silent for 15 minutes during the event, teaches and shows women a new way to "take a moment,breate, enjoy,meditate and be still for the many women who are silenced every day. Pain, suffering and injustice silences us all. Collectively the attendeees raise money and awareness with the power of prayer - one silenced heart and quieted mind at a time.
A graduate of the Harvard Business School, Dorri also holds a Masters in Clinical Social Work and a BA in Political Science. She has 20+years of business and professional experience and from 1997 - 2003 owned and managed a 65m Powersport – Motorcycle/Boat business with 7 retail stores located in 5 states.
Currently a Financial Advisor with NY Life she has been a Commercial Banker, Consultant in a Regional Bank and Loan Services Officer in Banking. A Family Therapist for years, Dorri still enjoys community work and helping families. Always an entrepreneur, Dorri founder her first business in her parents home in New Jersey at the ripe age of 11. Scott's Library a multicultural library featured books collected to promote an awareness of literature with children of color - in the 60's! Books were lent to the neighborhood kids (and adults.) And...YES, she charged fees for over due books and made a small profit. Her love of books is still a favorite - especially children's books and autobiographies.
Dorri is active in many community and political organizations including her church, Jack and Jill of America, a Fairfax County appointed board member, National Association of Women Business Owners, The Women’s Forum -Washington DC, Women's World Bank and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc to name a few. She is the mother of two; Brittany and Brycen, enjoys writing, reading, travel, gardening, yoga and weekends – her favorite 2 days of the week.
